Worked as a software engineer intern for Toyota Connected NA

  • Designed highly scalable infrastructure and code used to process real time data from thousands of vehicles every minute with the use of Java, AWS Kinesis Streams, Apache Flink, DynamoDB, Lambda functions, and Kubeflow pipelines
  • Utilized Datadog to monitor the health of newly created and existing infrastructure
  • Designed dashboards to visualize metrics received from existing infrastructure with Python and generated new metrics in the code base such as the message delay time between data points with Java
  • Rearchtected existing monolithic applications into microservices by breaking them into smaller AWS Lambda functions that could scale better horizontally
  • Improved the security of existing API calls by adding HTTPS and API authentication tokens
  • Improved the existing Gitlab CI/CD pipeline by automating the deployment of Terraform code and Docker containers to AWS accounts with Helm and Kaniko

  • Assisted with administrating the school’s AWS environment by developing and documenting Python and Powershell scripts for billing, maintenance, and managing user access management.
  • Worked with senior engineers to develop processes and templates for deploying cloud resources to EC2 instances with AWS Cloud Formation in an agile and scrum based environment.
  • rogrammed with Python, Node.js, PowerShell, and YAML, as well as assisted with moving and cataloging over 150 on-premise disaster recovery database and application servers to the cloud.
  • Created containers in AWS Elastic Container Service using Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes in order to assist fellow developers in transitioning to containerization based application development.
